Pigtails was a pre-record, but didn't go out for some reason :(

the reason it was pre recorded was because I was at The gathering, an event organised by Mistress Mosh promotions for the Starlight Foundation at The Lions Den.
MTJR were the first dj's of the day, Rxkitten, Mike Fisher and myself from 2pm to 6pm. After us various alternative dj's from all different nights kept things going until 2am. There was a bbq (a disposable one provided for us veggies- although we had to bring our own food), facepainting and we fashioned a lucky dip box as well.
I had work today, so we didn't hang about. Anyway, the MTJR dj's did an hour and 20 minutes each.
here's roughly what I played in my time-
Nirvana- Smells Like Teen Spirit
Foo Fighters- Stacked Actors
The Music- The People
Muse- Bliss
Kasabian- Vlad the Impaler
L7- Pretend We're Dead

Pigtails and Army Boots competition!

If you didn't tune into the show tonight, you would have missed not only a great show, but you wouldn't know that there is no Pigtails and Army Boots next Sunday or New Music on Friday, due to me getting married to the lovely Mike Fisher!
Anyway, I've got a little competition for you. Our "First Dance" song is top secret, only the dj knows (and he can't enter)! so you have to guess which song it is, out of some songs I played on the show tonight. If you're the winner you'll get a Pigtails and Army Boots cd made just for you! If you're someone at the wedding, you'll find out on the day obviously, if not it will be the week after on Pigtails and Army Boots!
here are the options, so take your guess!

Joan Jett- Crimson and Clover
Garbage- You Look So Fine
Alisha's Attic- Air We Breathe
Guano Apes- Pretty in Scarlet
Cyndi Lauper- True Colours
Heather Nova- London Rain
Heart- Crazy on You
Goldfrapp- Number 1
Air- All I Need
Scarlet- Independent Love Song

Last weekends playlists and apology

Apologies if you were listening to my show on sunday and I suddenly disappeared or tuned in late and wondered why it wasn't me. I had been suffering with possible wisdom tooth pain and it got really bad half way through my show, so I was dragged away for a bit. So sorry about that!
The shows will be on as normal this week, and then next week I will be taking a break as I am getting married- yay! So make sure you tune in this week for great new music on Friday at 7pm, and for female fronted music on Sunday at 5pm, and I will also be talking about some recent feminist issues that have been in the news this week.
